Deep-Ocean Instrumentation

Financial and technical barriers severely limit access to the deep sea. Low-cost, deep-diving technical solutions, coupled with building capacity in communities of ocean stakeholders, can substantially broaden participation in deep-sea research and exploration. At the Ocean Discovery League, we are developing deep-diving imaging and sensing systems to achieve 1500m depth while costing less than $1000 USD.
